Meet Leena, a quality-driven Saudi artist whose creative journey is marked by a passion for storytelling. She graduated from Effat University with a BA in Visual & Digital Production, focused on Animation. She has intensively refined her skills in visual storytelling at Gobelins l'école de l'image, and participated in Pixar’s 2023 Story Xperiential Program.

Over the past three years, Leena has worked with several animation studios, honing her storytelling expertise in 2D animation by working on various short films and projects. She took on the role of lead storyboard artist and illustrator at ZEEZ Animation, one of Saudi’s top animation studios; specializing in premium Arabic cartoon content catering to kids and families in the MENA region. She played a pivotal role in the creation of the award-winning Shahid Original series ‘Nayrat’, the #1 most streamed show on the platform that has earned various accolades such as the Bronze Telly Award at the 44th Annual Telly Awards and recognition at the 23rd Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia.

Having always been interested in video games and being a gamer herself, Leena now embarks on her first experience as a Writer & Narrative Designer in the gaming industry with 'There Was a Home', which has recently won a Student BAFTA Award for Best Game of 2024. Leena is eager to continue her exploration of storytelling in various formats and hopes to craft experiences that not only entertain but also leave a profound and positive impact on the audiences.
